I’m not dead

February 25th, 2010 by emp

Contrary to the rumor mill, I am not dead, haven’t been eaten by whales nor did my kids run off to Idaho to start a new civilization, LOL!!  Oh, and my business has not gone belly up as I heard today.  In fact, things are wonderful and life is great!!

The studio in Old Town Silverdale has been closed.  We moved to a much larger house in the fall and this allows me to work from home for those interested in studio sessions.  99% of the time though, all of my clients request their sessions to be on-locations at one of the many beautiful parks or waterfronts our area has to offer.  Lately, Manchester state park has been a popular location.  Having the studio was fabulous and I loved it, but basically it was an expensive dressing room.  Rarely did I have sessions there.  It was mainly used to change clothes, put on make-up and capture a few indoor-style images.  It was unnecessary overhead for me.  So, cutting back on what’s not needed and putting the focus back on creating unique images each and every time I shoot.  Looking forward to finding unique spots that my clients will love.

Which brings me to my clients….

Right now, I am currently accepting high school senior sessions only.  All family, newborn, maternity and other sessions are being referred to my friend and majorly talented photographer, Andrew Lee.  You can view his work at http://www.andrewleephotography.com He is one of the best in our industry and is sure to capture images you will treasure forever.  I would not recommend him if I did not feel 100% confident in his abilities and talent.

For seniors needing senior pictures…call me!

That’s it for now.  Just wanted to set a few things straight (and also post on my blog that I haven’t posted on in over a year, lol!!).  Take care everyone!

Sounds like life is really falling into place for you - what a wonderful niche you have found with seniors! You are so talented at capturing them and you will be able to provide such a personal, custom experience for them! All of them will be able to proudly show off their images years from now, and still love them because you captured them so expertly!

Beautiful images, Erika! I think it’s awesome that you’re going to focus solely on seniors - you do amazing senior work!
